Description
– Jenga is a game of physical and mental skill where players take turns removing one block at a time from a tower built of 54 wooden blocks and placing it on top, creating a taller and increasingly unstable structure.
– The goal is to avoid causing the tower to collapse.
– The game is won by the last player to successfully place a block without causing the tower to topple.
Key Features:
The Setup:
The game starts with a sturdy tower constructed by stacking three blocks per layer, with each layer turned 90 degrees to the previous one.
Gameplay:
Players take turns carefully removing one block at a time from anywhere below the highest completed layer and placing it on top of the tower.
One-Handed Rule:
Players can only use one hand at a time to remove a block and must alternate hands if they choose.
Block Selection:
Players are allowed to touch and tap blocks to find a loose one, but must return them to their original position if they don’t intend to remove them.
The Collapse:
The game ends when the tower falls, and the last player to successfully place a block before the collapse is the winner.
Beyond the Basics:
Jenga is not just about physical dexterity. It also encourages strategic thinking, patience, and focus as players must carefully consider their moves to avoid destabilizing the tower.
